The Olney Cropdusters

The Olney Cropdusters are a 501(c)(3) summer collegiate baseball organization with a mission to build lifelong memories and meaningful connections through the game of baseball.

 

Founded in 2021, we exist to bring families, players, and the broader community together through an unforgettable summer experience that goes far beyond the diamond.

Rooted in the proud and storied baseball tradition of Olney, Maryland—home to some of the area’s most accomplished athletes—we strive to honor that legacy by welcoming top college talent from across the country to play, grow, and become part of something special. Each summer, approximately 35 college athletes live with local host families, forging bonds that last well beyond the season. These players are supported by a dedicated and selfless group of coaches, interns, and volunteers who help deliver an experience marked by excellence, character, and community spirit.

 

The Cropdusters proudly compete in the prestigious Cal Ripken Senior Collegiate Baseball League (CRSCBL)—a nationally recognized wood-bat summer league that showcases many of the best college players in the country and has produced hundreds of professional baseball prospects.

We are led by a passionate local volunteer Board and Executive Team, united by a shared love for baseball and for Olney. Together with our incredible sponsors, community partners, and supporters, we are committed to creating a unique and engaging environment that blends the energy of summer

baseball with the heart of a hometown celebration.

Our home games—played at First Responder Field at ServPro Stadium, located at the Olney Boys & Girls Club—are more than sporting events; they’re a gathering place where neighbors connect, families make memories, and young fans fall in love with the game. From the first pitch to the final out, we aim to deliver an experience that reflects the values of our community: tradition, generosity, teamwork, and pride.
